(i)         BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Parks Recreation and Trails Advisory Committee recommend to the Council that the Township of Lake of Bays accept a $5000.00 grant from the Muskoka Futures Corporation for the purpose of purchasing a PA system that can be used for all events within Lake of Bays.

 

AND FURTHER, that such equipment will be available for all municipalities in Muskoka, and Algonquin Highland for a no charge rental, (damage deposit excluded) for the purpose of sharing resources to promote various events in our region.

 

(ii)       BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Parks Recreation and Trails Advisory Committee recommend to the Council of the Township of Lake of Bays to direct staff to continue to support and work toward completion of the Dorset Park Project in the following areas:

                

·        Investigate  the cost involved with moving the existing rink,  rink shack, site preparations and legal surveys

·        Research rink cover options such as size, material and serviceability

·        Explore grant and funding opportunities

·        Seek support from both councils regarding the revisions to the  Shared Service Agreement for this project
