7. COMMITTEE RESOLUTIONS FOR CONSIDERATION
(a) Finance and Corporate Services Committee
(i) BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Finance and Corporate Services Committee recommends to the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Lake of Bays the revised Policy named HR-1.3 “Holidays” to incorporate the new public holiday “Family Day”. (Family Day Holiday)
(ii) Be it resolved that the Finance & Corporate Services Committee of the Corporation of the Township of Lake of Bays recommends to Council that the following accounts be ratified for payment.
As of December 31st, 2007 the following accounts are payable:
General Accounts:

(iii) Be it resolved that the Finance & Corporate Services Committee recommends to the Corporation of the Township of Lake of Bays that a by-law be enacted to authorize an application to the Municipal Infrastructure Investment Initiative in the amount of $1,350,000.00 for the development of an accessible multi use facility in Baysville to include:
· Replace the ice pad at the Baysville Arena;
· Expand the Baysville Library;
· Create gender specific change facilities for athletes; and
· Construct a community room with increased fitness opportunities for residents and to attract/support venues within the event tourism initiative in Muskoka.

(i) BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Parks Recreation and Trails Advisory Committee recommend to the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Lake of Bays that the following principles be endorsed:
· That a definition of active transportation include both purposeful and recreational trails with priority being given to those that connect communities;
· The District of Muskoka take a lead in the coordination of Active Transportation and initial infrastructure improvements across Muskoka;
· This coordination to include coordinating mapping of active transportation infrastructure, setting standards for trail infrastructure, providing funding opportunities,
AND FURTHER THAT the endorsed recommendations be forwarded to the District Commissioner of Planning and Economic Development for inclusion in the proposed Muskoka Active Transportation Strategy. (Active Transportation)
