7.       COMMITTEE RESOLUTIONS FOR CONSIDERATION

 

(a)                Finance and Corporate Services Committee

 

(i)        Be it resolved that the Finance & Corporate Services Committee of the Corporation of the Township of Lake of Bays recommends to Council that the following accounts payable be ratified.

 

General Accounts:                                                           

                                                As at May 30th, 2008           -      $217,274.20 

                                   

(ii)      BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Finance & Corporate Services Committee recommend that Council endorse an application to the Trillium Foundation in the amount of $65,000 to promote health and safety of participants in the Lake of Bays Skating Club and to upgrade the kitchen at the Lake of Bays Community Centre that will enhance community involvement in the municipal facility.

 

 

 

(b)               Heritage Committee

 

(i)       BE IT RESOLVED that the Heritage Advisory Committee recommends that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Lake of Bays accept the appointment of Jackie Godard to the Heritage Advisory Committee.

 

(c)                Parks Recreation and Trails Committee

 

(i)         BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Parks, Recreation & Trails Advisory Committee recommend that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Lake of Bays support the application of the Baysville Community Group Streetscape Project submitted by the Baysville Community Group.

 

                                           (ii)        BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Parks, Recreation & Trails

Advisory Committee recommend that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Lake of Bays adopt the Community Commemorative Policy (2pgs/150KB) into the Township of Lake of Bays policies and procedures with revisions as follows.

 

3.04         Add Tree Species

 

White spruce, white cedar and white pine

 

3.05         Commemorative trees or benches will be installed as soon as possible in the planting season upon application approval.

 

3.5.1       Add “Minimum” cost of Commemorative tree $250.00 plus taxes

 

(iii)      BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Parks, Recreation & Trails Advisory Committee recommend that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Lake of Bays direct staff to permanently install signage as required to supply mapping and directional information for all trails within the Township of Lake of Bays. 

 

And further, that such installation be completed prior to September 25th, 2008.
