7.       COMMITTEE RESOLUTIONS FOR CONSIDERATION

 

(a)                Finance and Corporate Services Committee 

(i)        BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Finance & Corporate Services Committee of the Corporation of the Township of Lake of Bays recommends that Council support a partnership with the Town of Huntsville to provide a summer day camp for youth 5- 12 years in Dwight for the summer of 2008 in accordance with recommendation #4 of the Parks Master Plan. 

AND FURTHER THAT the Township of Lake of Bays Dwight Camp, be named as a satellite location of Camp Skoka in the Huntsville Community and Recreation Flyer. 

AND FURTHER THAT the Township of Lake of Bays budget $3648.00 to offset the cost of facility rental of the Dwight Community Centre for the purpose of providing this recreational opportunity.         

(ii)      BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Finance and Corporate Services Committee recommends that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Lake of Bays endorse and approve the submission of a “Muskoka Bid” by the Huntsville Lake of Bays Event Tourism initiative that will include all six Muskoka municipalities for the 2010 Ontario Youth Winter Games

AND FURTHER THAT the Township of Lake of Bays confirm in principle the financial support for the games and its willingness to offset, if required a proportionate share of an operating deficit for the Ontario “Youth Winter Games”.

AND FURTHER THAT the Township of Lake of Bays will pay $1.50 per permanent resident for the year 2008, 2009, and 2010 toward the municipalities’ commitment regarding the operating budget of the Ontario Youth Winter Games

AND FURTHER THAT the Township of Lake of Bays will make available all of its facilities for consideration in the application.

AND FURTHER THAT staff report back to the Administration and Finance Committee with further details regarding the status of the “Muskoka Bid” after a decision is confirmed by the Sport Alliance of Ontario.

(iii)     BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Finance and Corporate Services Committee recommends to the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Lake of Bays the draft By-law and Policy named HR-7.4 “Cell Phone Use”. (Cell Phone Use) 

(iv)       Be it resolved that the Finance & Corporate Services Committee of the Corporation of the Township of Lake of Bays recommends to Council that the following accounts be ratified for payment.
