PURPOSE:
The
Administration Department includes the Treasury and Clerk
functions. The purpose of
the department is:
•
to provide financial and administrative support services
to all municipal departments
•
to ensure compliance with Municipal Act with respect
to
corporate matters municipal property, etc.

finance functions, including accounts payable, cash
management

tax collection

payroll and benefits

human resources
•
lottery licenses
Clerk
Role:
•
prepares agendas and minutes of Council
•
administers municipal election, the next election to
be held 2010
•
provide administrative support services to Council
•
administer policies regarding the sale and use of
municipal
properties
•
provide administrative support to other departments
•
records management
