Council
has established committees in an endeavour to meet the changing
needs of the community through effective delivery of municipal
services and to solicit public input on choices which
may affect the community. Such committees will act as
liaisons between the community and local government and
strive to maintain professionalism and fairness in all they do.
Several
committees are mandatory under provincial legislation; such as,
the Planning Advisory Committee and
Committee of Adjustment. All other committees are created
at Council's discretion.
The main
