Emergency Preparedness

It is everyone's role to be prepared for an emergency. The more work done now to prepare for an emergency the better prepared the Township of Lake of Bays will be to respond to any type of disaster.

This website will provide you with information regarding the Township of Lake of Bays Emergency Preparedness Program, including information on the Emergency Plan and personal preparedness initiatives to assist you prior and during an emergency.

In the event of an emergency every resident should be prepared to take care of themselves and their families for up to three days in the event of an emergency or disaster.

If you are in an emergency situation, don't panic.  People have survived three days without water and three weeks without food.  Your home can retain heat for up to three hours in winter.
