If a landowner is considering either developing or re-developing their property, or submitting a planning application, they are encouraged to first contact the Planning Department by providing:

  • a brief letter describing the proposal;
  • a survey sketch showing all structures on the property to scale ( a hand drawn sketch is acceptable but must be to scale), as well as show natural versus cleared lawn areas within 50 ft of shore (if applicable);
  • a list of all structures with their square footage identified; and
  • if applicable, photos of the shoreline (preferably taken in the summer).
