The Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department urges residents to test their smoke alarms on or before Thursday, September 28th, 2023, which marks the first Test Your Smoke Alarm Day in Ontario. This simple action requires less than 5 seconds and can be instrumental in saving lives during a fire incident.

The Township of Lake of Bays invites the public to join them in honouring Councillor Nancy Tapley for her 25 years of service with the Township. Councillor Tapley will receive a Long-Standing Service Award for her dedication and commitment to the Lake of Bays area. The award ceremony will take place on October 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Municipal Office, 1012 Dwight Beach Rd in Dwight. Light refreshments and cake will be served after the ceremony and everyone is welcome to attend.
