Annual Fundraisers Continue to Support Training for Lake of Bays Members of the Fire Department

The Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department extends heartfelt appreciation to Hillside's Angelo Raso for his continuous support. The Raso family began an annual Horseshoe Tournament fundraiser five years ago after the tragic loss of their son to opioids. To date, the fundraiser consisting of neighbours and friends has raised over $3400 towards the fire department's Peer Support Team, which facilitates specialized training sessions and courses for Fire Department members.

Winter Parking Ban in Effect for Lake of Bays

(Lake of Bays, ON) With the onset of the snow season, the Township’s Public Works Department has implemented its annual ban on roadside parking throughout the municipality. Residents, visitors, and contractors are reminded that there is NO PARKING or standing of vehicles on roadsides in the municipality. Violators obstructing winter operations will be towed without warning. In addition to a fine, all costs associated with the towing of the vehicle will be at the owner’s expense.
