Digital Main Street Muskoka

Posted on Friday October 18, 2019

Are you a business who specializes in providing digital technology support to other businesses (i.e. launching or upgrading websites, integration of social media platforms, point of sale and inventory tracking systems, and Google Business tools)? This opportunity may be for you!

Digital Main Street is a program developed in partnership by the City of Toronto and is now available to downtowns across Ontario with provincial funding being channeled through the Ontario Business Improvement Area (OBIAA). The BIA’s and municipalities without BIA’s throughout Muskoka (Huntsville BIA, Bracebridge BIA, Gravenhurst BIA, Township of Lake of Bays, Township of Muskoka Lakes, and Township of Georgian Bay) have received funding to recruit a Digital Service Squad representative to provide digital technology support to businesses.

The project partners are currently seeking an outgoing, enthusiastic, qualified candidate to operate as a regional Digital Service Squad (DSS) for a full-time contract from December 9th, 2019, to May 31st, 2020. The DSS will be required to travel independently across the District of Muskoka to help small businesses in each of the downtown areas to enhance their use of digital tools and technologies to better evolve and grow.

The Town of Huntsville is administering the Request for Proposal on behalf of the project partners. View the Town of Huntsville's Bids and Tenders page to download the RFP. Deadline: November 5, 2019, at 4:00pm.
