Virtual Recreation Zone

In the wake of COVID-19 physical distancing and self-isolation, the Township of Lake of Bays aims to continue to provide ideas and activities which encourage active living for all ages and abilities.

The new activity and resource zone was created to help bring the residents of Lake of Bays together while respecting social distancing at home. This page hosts a collection of online fitness and activity programs, health and wellness resources, and virtual experiences and attractions.

Help keep the content fresh and up-to-date! We would love the community to participate and submit content that could be enjoyed by others. Local businesses, groups, and organizations who have developed online or non-traditional programming are encouraged to provide details using the Township's Site Feedback Form on the homepage (top right).

Recreation and Parks Month
June is Recreation and Parks Month (JRPM) and this special month promotes and celebrates the benefits of recreation and parks on our physical, social and environmental health. Access to parks and recreation helps to foster health, strong communities, social inclusion and environmental well-being.

Although June might look different this year, we encourage everyone to get active. To help you get started we have provided a calendar with daily activities for you to take part in throughout the month of June. These activities can be done at home with family in the backyard or while out on trails or our open park spaces. Please remember to practice safe physical distancing if you are enjoying our outdoor amenities.
