Proposal

The applicant requests approval of this application in order to facilitate the demolition of a 11.89 sq. m. (130 sq. ft.) screened in porch on the lakeside of an existing legal non-complying dwelling and an adjacent 13.86 sq. m. (149.2 sq. ft. ) deck and to permit the construction of a 26.75 sq. m. (287.9 sq. ft.) uncovered and unenclosed deck on the lakeside the dwelling and a 5.95 sq. m. (64 sq. ft.) covered entranceway to the rear of the dwelling. The applicants are also proposing to raise the existing 121 sq. m. (1,302 sq. ft.) dwelling by 1.6 m. (5.25 ft.), an increase of approximately 35%. None of the additions will encroach any closer to a watercourse located on the south side of the dwelling than the existing structure.

 If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Township before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
