Proposal

To rezone the subject lands to fulfil a condition of consent application B 14/17 LOB.

The effect of the by-law will be to:

  • rezone a portion of the severed lands from a Waterfront Residential “(WR)” Zone to a Waterfront Residential with an Exception “(WR-E424)” Zone to implement site specific provisions for the development of the lot, including a minimum setback of 7.62 m (25 ft) from the edge of the identified plateau and reference sawmill remains for their protection

rezone a portion of the severed and retained lands from a Waterfront Residential  “(WR)” Zone to a Waterfront Environmental Protection “(WEP)” Development Permit Area and Waterfront Environmental Protection One “(WEP1)” Development Permit Area to implement the findings of a consultant’s watercourse assessment.

Planning Act Requirements

This application has been deemed complete in accordance with the Planning Act. 

 If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Township to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Township of Lake of Bays before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.

 If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Township before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
