Business Support Campaigns

Many local businesses in Lake of Bays have adapted their services to include online or telephone orders, takeout, curbside pickup, and/or delivery in a safe manner that respects health and safety guidelines and physical distancing. To support your business's marketing efforts during these unprecedented times, the Township of Lake of Bays has developed the following marketing tools to help the community shop local and discover the products and services currently available to them.

Lake of Bays Passport to Spring

The Lake of Bays Passport to Spring was a shop local campaign encouraging people to explore their own back yard while supporting the local business community. The program used a digital passport which included ten activities designed to increase awareness of businesses in Lake of Bays, provide free promotion on social media, and potentially drive sales. Winners received gift certificates to a business of their choice in Lake of Bays. The contest took place from March through May, 2021. You can still view the program site to find lots of ideas for supporting our local business community.

Open for Business Interactive Map

The Township created an open for business interactive map to highlight the products and services that were available following the first wave of the pandemic in 2020. The target audience was local residents; this campaign was not intended to promote tourism. The map is now closed.

You can also check out the Township's comprehensive online business directory and contact individual businesses to make an inquiry about their current offerings.
