For long-time Muskoka residents Lynn and John Murden, there’s nothing new about working from home! For 28 years they have lived and worked at their creative haven in Baysville. Their beautiful gallery is home to John’s fine art and photography as well as Yummies in a Jar, featuring Lynn’s line of homemade, gourmet preserves, and a wonderful selection of other gourmet foods and the works of many local artisans.

The John Murden Art Gallery showcases John’s works in watercolour, acrylics, and photography. John is interested in experimenting with different techniques and a variety of subjects ranging from historical Muskoka paintings to vibrant landscapes.

Yummies in a Jar features a line of all-natural unique jams, many enhanced with real liqueur, pepper jellies, maple syrups blended with fruit or liqueur, oil free vinaigrettes, chutneys, and mustards and BBQ sauces prepared with local craft beer! Like John, experimentation is key to Lynn’s success. With an imagination for unique culinary concoctions and an entrepreneurial spirit, Lynn has grown Yummies in a Jar into a thriving cottage industry. Each product is prepared in small, individual batches using only the finest ingredients – perfect for personal and corporate gifts, wedding and party favours, or simply to treat yourself!

Visit the year-round gallery on Earth Park Road and Hwy 117, 2 km west of Baysville or at their seasonal shop in downtown Baysville from May to October. In-store or online shopping options available as well as curb-side pickup. Call 705-767-2578 or visit yummiesinajar.com or murden.com for more information.
