Remembrance Services in Lake of Bays 2022

Looking for a way to pay respect and honour Canada's war veterans?

Several services are being held throughout the Lake of Bays community leading up to Remembrance Day:

Dwight Remembrance Service - Saturday, November 5, 2022 2:00 p.m. (Dwight Memorial Wall)

Put on by the Dwight Lions, the event will be happening rain or shine.

Dorset Remembrance Service - Sunday, November 6, 2022 11:30 AM (Dorset Parkette)

Following the service, a soup lunch will be served at the Knox United Church (1012 Harvey Ave.)

Baysville Remembrance Service - Sunday, November 6, 2022 1:30 p.m. (Baysville Seniors Hall)

Assembly will be at the Seniors Hall at 1:30 p.m. for a parade starting at 1:40 p.m.

Service will take place at the Cenotaph in Grist Mill Park at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow back at the Seniors Hall.

If you are unable to attend an event, the Royal Canadian Legion encourages all Canadians to observe a moment of silence to honour the sacrifice and the courage of those who have served and continue to serve.
