This year marks the 100th anniversary of the first exhibition of the Group of Seven. Inspired by Tom Thomson and his passion for painting Algonquin Park and Georgian Bay, the artists of the Group of Seven radically changed the way we see the Canadian landscape.

As a tribute to the Group of Seven, Tom Thomson, and the natural beauty of Lake of Bays, Landed brings together a collective of local artists inspired by the landscape. Fittingly, the exhibition is taking place at Hillside Farm, located east of Limberlost Road on Hwy 60, also known as Tom Thomson Parkway. With its lovingly restored barn set against a backdrop of rolling fields, this is the ideal location to celebrate our local artists.

See works by Pam Carnochan, Helena Renwick, Rob Stimpson, Janine Marson, Elizabeth Siegfried, Rod Prouse, John David Anderson, Elizabeth Johnson, Catherine O’Mara, and Marike MacDonald. September 11th and 12th, 2020. The Barn, 2295 Hwy 60, Huntsville. Friday 6pm – 9pm and Saturday 10am – 5pm. Please note that masks are required, and social distancing will be in effect.
