 Winter Activities in Lake of Bays
Bondi Village Resort
Over 20km of track-set cross-country ski trails, snowshoe trails, and tobogganing ($10 fee/person for non-registered guests, please register at the office). Note COVID-19 protocols are enforced. Visit Bondi Village Resort for more information. 
Echo Valley Nature and Bike Trails - Closed - Opening Soon!
Over 3.5km of trails with a main loop and 14 smaller trails. Suitable for hiking, snowshoeing and fat-biking (depending on trail conditions). Free, $2 donation is requested. For more details, visit our webpage.
 Fairy Falls Park Trail 
Short trail to small falls along the Muskoka River. Open for hiking and snowshoeing. 
 Ice Fishing 
Lake of Bays has 100 lakes to explore! For more information, please view the regulations webpage. 
 Ice Skating - OPEN

We ask that all skaters abide by the Health Unit's guidelines. For everyone’s safety, please maintain social distancing and as an extra precaution, wear a mask. Please note that the change rooms at the Dorset Ice Palace and the Dwight Outdoor Rink are closed.

Dwight Beach Skating Trail - OPEN

  • Note: Parking is permitted along the North side of Dwight beach road between 10am and 5pm (as per signs). Additional parking is available at the Dwight Public Washrooms at 1009 Dwight Bay Road. 

Baysville Outdoor Rink - OPEN

  • Note: Parking is available along Bay and Bridge Street where permitted between 10am and 5pm.

 Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve
Groomed ski trails (check the ski trails webpage for the status of individual trails), snowshoeing and hiking (free for day use, 9am-5pm, but you must sign an online safety waiver). To learn more visit the Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve website. 
 Snowmobile in Lake of Bays

 The Frost Centre
22km of track-set cross-country ski trails and snowshoe trails (visit the Ski & Snowshoe Trails webpage for fees and trail conditions)
