Sometimes the journey can be as enjoyable as the destination. Travel the 80 km loop around Lake of Bays with stops in the charming hamlets of Baysville, Dwight and Dorset. Sample the treats at decadent bakeries, dine at fabulous restaurants, tour Lake of Bays' own craft brewery, admire local artists' work during seasonal studio tours, cruise on a historical wooden steamship, or climb a former fire tower for scenic 360 degree aerial views.

NOTE: Pandemic restrictions continue to affect our local attractions and businesses. Please check ahead with individual operators for specific details. The Dorset Lookout Tower remains closed until further notice. SS Bigwin cruises are not operating, but the Lake of Bays Marine Museum is open select days.

Explosive fall colours

The Lake of Bays Scenic Drive offers spectacular views of lakes, rock cuts, and magnificent fall colours in September and October. Fall is a magnificent time to visit Muskoka as brilliant autumn colours of yellow, red and orange ignite the senses. Although this winding route is most vibrant in the fall, this Muskoka Signature Experience can be enjoyed throughout all four seasons.
