The Lake of Bays area first captured my heart in 1979 when I first visited the community. Ultimately inspiring my partner and I to permanently relocate here in 2023. We chose a home on the South Muskoka River and were married at the water’s edge the following year, deeply rooting Baysville as our home. After running a successful commercial photography business for 42 years in Toronto I have welcomed the life style change that Baysville offers. My time volunteering with The Lake of Bays Curling & Bocce club has helped inspire me to run for the opportunity to serve on council.

Spending my summers at my Father’s cottage on Lake Rosseau since 1974 I have seen the lake change due to increased growth and tourism. I believe council’s primary responsibility needs to be to preserve the amazing qualities that make Lake of Bays the beautiful community we know and love. Clean clear lakes, an abundance of nature and a quiet retreat, protecting the environment in Lake of Bays will always be critical.

Growth and development need to be carefully planned and managed so that the community benefits first and that our community’s infrastructure needs are prioritized. Baysville can accommodate better transportation and pedestrian infrastructure while expanding housing options at the same time.

As a cycling enthusiast I will support growing our pedestrian and cycling paths, a natural fit for a vacation destination for so many people.

I would take it as a great honour to serve and advocate for the community as a councillor.

I am running for the McLean ward seat in the up coming election. I have lived in Baysville for more then 55 years, I have been married to Wendy for 38 years we have two children Kathleen and Michael as well as two grandchildren all live in Baysville. I have owned a business( The Lincoln ) for 19 years. I then went to work for Hammond Transportation in charge of 60  school routes on a Daily basis until my retirement in 2023. I have been a member of station 40 of the Lake of Bays fire department for 47 years, as station chief for 40 years, I also have been a member of the Baysville lions club since 1976.

I served one term on the parks and rec committee until it was dissolved, I believe that we need a strong voice on council to represent Mclean ward to help guide the future development of this beautiful pace we call home year round or seasonal. I have an intimate knowledge of lake of Bays but Mclean ward especially is my home and I know all of the roads and geography of the area. As well as a long history with a lot of the people. I feel that my history in Baysville gives me the in site to help guide the future of our home.

I would appreciate your support on the 26 of October.

Thank you
