Councillor (Sinclair/Finlayson Ward)

I was raised in Lake of Bays and grew up in the local tourism industry at my family’s Friendly Acres Resort in Hillside. After living in BC and Mexico, I returned home to co-found the Acres Driving Range in 2007 and still operate it today, expanding to include a Muskoka-themed mini-putt course.

I have served on local boards, coached youth sports, and chaired the Irwin School Council. With my daughter now in high school, stepping forward as Councillor for the Sinclair/Finlayson Ward feels like a natural next step. My primary motivation is helping build a future where our youth have every reason-and the means-to stay, thrive, and build their lives right here.

Nearly two decades as a local business owner and a lifetime of community connections give me a practical understanding of our daily realities in Lake of Bays. As Councillor, I aim to be an approachable voice for our ward and a bridge to the township. My focus is on thoughtful, sustainable growth that preserves our natural resources and local character while keeping our township’s voice strong amid provincial changes. I believe sustainability, affordability, environmental stewardship, and community engagement should be at the forefront of every decision.
