South Portage Park & Boat Launch

Small greenspace with boat launch, swim dock, and beautiful views of Lake of Bays. The boat launch has a concrete slab and there is a separate barge loading and unloading zone. Two portable washrooms are available seasonally (May through Thanksgiving) with one of them being accessible. This was originally the Lake of Bays terminal for the Portage Flyer train. Travellers would board a steamship after taking the "smallest commercially operated railway in the world" via the 1.8 kilometre track from South Portage on Peninsula Lake.
