Damaged Hedge Cleared from Gristmill Park

The Township of Lake of Bays wishes to advise the community that work has been completed to clear a significantly damaged hedge at Gristmill Park in Baysville. The hedge between Gristmill Park and the Robertson parkette in Baysville sustained a lot of damage over the winter months, including from the ice storm in Spring 2025. 

Staff have worked to clear an approximately 40-foot section of the hedge from behind the public washrooms to the corner of the parkette. At this time, it is not believed the hedge will regrow. With this section of the hedge cleared, it allows for clear site lines to the public washrooms and for the park lights to illuminate the pathway to the washrooms as well.
