Please be advised that the Babb Family Splash Pad will be closed for maintenance on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.The splashpad will reopen at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2026.

Please be advised that the 36th Annual Baysville Walkabout will take place Saturday July 25, 2026, resulting in temporary road closures. 

The Township of Lake of Bays Municipal Office will close at 9:30 a.m. today, July 13, 2026.

Due to a sudden and unexpected loss affecting our municipal team, staff have been provided time to come together and support one another during this difficult time.

Please be advised that the Township of Lake of Bays municipal office will be closed on Wednesday July 1, 2026, in celebration of Canada Day. Regular business hours will resume on Thursday July 2, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.

Please be advised that the IRONMAN Muskoka 70.3 event will take place on Sunday July 5, 2026 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Vehicle traffic will be restricted on District Road 117 in Baysville with vehicles rerouted through Bridge Street.

The Township of Lake of Bays will be completing high-float resurfacing on the following roads:

• Billie Bear Road (1.8 km), end of Pavement to Bella Shores Road
• Seabreeze Road (2.0 km), Ten Mile Creek to Delbrooke intersection

Please be advised that the Lake of Bays Fire Rescue Fire Fest event will take place on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, resulting in a temporary road closure of Dwight Beach Road from 12:00 p.m. on July 1 until 12:00 a.m. on July 2. Residents and visitors are asked to plan accordingly and follow all posted signage, detours and parking regulations.

Weighed garbage services will be unavailable at McLean Transfer Station, located at 3901 Brunel Rd, Baysville, as of June 15 until work is complete. During this period, weighed garbage will not be accepted at this location and must be directed to an alternate transfer station.

Weighed garbage services will be unavailable at Franklin Transfer Station, located at 1020 Oxtongue Rapids Park Road, Dwight, as of June 30 until work is complete. During this period, weighed garbage will not be accepted at this location and must be directed to an alternate transfer station.

Moot Lake Road will be closed on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for culvert replacement work. The closure will affect properties from approximately 1170 Moot Lake Road to the end of the road.
