Closures and Service Disruptions

The Lake of Bays Municipal Office will be CLOSED on Monday, October 12, 2026, for Thanksgiving. The office will reopen at 8:30 AM on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. 

Please note: The Township of Lake of Bays will be performing scheduled maintenance on its phone system on Friday, October 2, beginning at 4:15 p.m.

The Glenmount Dock will be temporarily closed and unavailable for public use on September 28 and 29 while final reconstruction work is completed.

The Hillside Beach Dock will be getting a refresh over the next week as we replace the decking and spruce it up.

Please be advised that on Saturday, August 8, 2026, cyclists participating in the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation Ride North will be travelling through Muskoka. Motorists may experience temporary traffic delays or restrictions.

Please be advised that the Township of Lake of Bays municipal office will be closed on Monday, August 3 2026, for the Civic Holiday. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.

Please be advised that the Babb Family Splash Pad will be closed for maintenance on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.The splashpad will reopen at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2026.

Please be advised that the 36th Annual Baysville Walkabout will take place Saturday July 25, 2026, resulting in temporary road closures. 

The Township of Lake of Bays Municipal Office will close at 9:30 a.m. today, July 13, 2026.
