The proposed by-laws will come before the Township of Lake of Bays Council for consideration at its regular meeting to be held in a hybrid setting (in-person and electronically), on the 14th day of July, 2026, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. o’clock, in the morning. 

Applications have been received under the Township’s Noise Control By-law for exemptions that would allow amplified sound and related noise after 11:00 p.m.

The Township of Lake of Bays will be completing high-float resurfacing on the following roads:

• Billie Bear Road (1.8 km), end of Pavement to Bella Shores Road
• Seabreeze Road (2.0 km), Ten Mile Creek to Delbrooke intersection

The District of Muskoka is inviting residents to another drop-in construction café to discuss the Muskoka Road 117 project in Baysville.

The Muskoka Fire Danger Rating has been lowered to MODERATE. Small fires are permitted in most rural areas of Muskoka, keeping in mind that NO DAYTIME BURNING is allowed in Lake of Bays.

(Lake of Bays, ON) The Township of Lake of Bays Fire Rescue is excited to invite residents and visitors to Fire Fest on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Dwight Beach. This special community celebration will officially mark the launch of the newly branded Lake of Bays Fire Rescue Department. 

(Lake of Bays, ON) The Township of Lake of Bays will hold another public meeting on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, as Council considers the Final Official Plan. The meeting will provide the public with another opportunity to comment before the plan moves forward for adoption.

Weighed garbage services will be unavailable at McLean Transfer Station, located at 3901 Brunel Rd, Baysville, as of June 15 until work is complete. During this period, weighed garbage will not be accepted at this location and must be directed to an alternate transfer station.
