Dwight Community Hub Groundbreaking Ceremony and Temporary Traffic Changes

The Township of Lake of Bays is sharing two important updates regarding the Dwight Community Centre and Library Expansion project: the upcoming groundbreaking ceremony and temporary changes to parking and traffic access.

Join Us for the Groundbreaking Ceremony
We invite residents to celebrate the official start of construction for the Dwight Community Centre and Library Expansion. This community-driven project, shaped by public input, will transform the facility into a modern, accessible hub with expanded services.

  • Date: Tuesday, October 21, 2025
  • Time: 11:00 a.m.
  • Location: Dwight Community Centre and Library, 1014 Dwight Beach Rd, Dwight, ON

The event will feature remarks from Mayor Terry Glover along with a ceremonial shovel-turning.

Temporary Parking and Traffic Changes
Temporary fencing will be installed around the building starting the week of October 14, 2025. These changes are necessary as site preparation begins.

What to expect:

  • Reduced number of available parking spaces
  • Fencing around active work zones
  • Modified vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow

Clear signage will guide visitors, and alternative parking options are available nearby.
