Expect Low Water Levels at Public Boat Launches
The Township of Lake of Bays is advising residents and visitors that current water levels on Lake of Bays are lower than normal for this time of year due to limited rainfall. Other lakes in the community may be experiencing similar conditions.
Boaters are reminded to exercise caution when using public boat launches, as the reduced water levels may create challenges when loading and unloading vessels.
To ensure safety and prevent damage to watercraft, trailers, or launch infrastructure, please keep the following in mind:

Launch and retrieve boats slowly and with care.

Be mindful of uneven surfaces, rocks, or other hazards that may be exposed due to lower water levels.

Follow all posted signage and instructions from Township staff, if present.
The Township appreciates the cooperation of all boaters to ensure safe and respectful use of public launches.
