Gravel Road Dust Control Begins Week of June 15

The Township of Lake of Bays will begin applying calcium chloride to Township-maintained gravel roads during the week of June 15, 2026.

This annual program covers about 100 km of roads. Calcium chloride is applied to the road surface, where it helps bind the gravel together, resulting in a more durable driving surface and reducing the creation of dust.

Please slow down and use caution when driving through active work areas or on recently treated roads.
