Building Services Open House – Getting Ready for the New Building Code Effective January 1, 2025

(Lake of Bays, ON) The Township of Lake of Bays is inviting builders, contractors, designers, and community members to attend an informative Building Services Open House. This event will focus on preparing our community for the upcoming Provincial Building Code changes, set to take effect on January 1, 2025.

Event Details:

• Date: Tuesday, November 19, 2024
• Time: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Doors open at 12:30 p.m.)
• Location: Dwight Community Centre, 1014 Dwight Beach Rd., Dwight

1. Updates on municipal developments related to building services.
2. The Township’s transition to the Community Planning Permit System (CPPS).
3. Changes in the Building Code affecting dwellings and cottages under Parts 7, 8, and 9.
4. Open floor for discussions.

Additionally, attendees will also have the opportunity to win a door prize: a copy of the 2024 Building Code.
