New eBilling Option Lets Your Property Tax Bills Get Sent by Email
The Township of Lake of Bays now offers an eBilling option that lets you receive your property tax bill directly to your email. No paper, no postal delays, no mail to keep track of.
How to sign up
Your next paper tax bill will include everything you need to enroll, including your 15‑digit roll number and a new access code. Use these to complete the transition to eBilling by following the instructions that come with your bill.
If you own more than one property, you will need to sign up separately for each roll number.
How it works
Once you sign up, your future Interim and Final tax bills will be emailed to you at least 21 days before the first instalment due date, as required under the Municipal Act.
If your email address changes, you will need to resubmit the form to update your information.
Failure to receive a tax bill does not exempt the bill from being due or exempt the taxpayer from incurring late payment charges. If your bill does not arrive as expected, contact the Township immediately.
Be aware of fraudulent emails
The Township will never request payment over the phone or through an emailed link. If you receive a message that seems unusual, contact the Township directly using the phone number found on the website before opening any attachments or links. Do not reply to the email or call any phone numbers listed in the email that do not match the Township phone number on the website.
