Norway Point Park Revitalization Complete

Norway Point

Better views of the lake. A wonderful little beach area. A quieter area over on the side, and our parks department has done a fantastic job of doing a new replanting plan.

– Mayor Terry Glover, Township of Lake of Bays.

(Lake of Bays, ON) - The Township of Lake of Bays is excited to share that upgrades at Norway Point Park are now finished! While the work wrapped up this fall, the refreshed park will be ready for everyone to enjoy when the warm weather returns in 2026.

Visitors can look forward to:

  • A new family‑friendly beach with better lake access
  • A berm that helps protect water quality by filtering runoff
  • A new native planting plan that stabilizes the shoreline and supports biodiversity
  • More seating, clearer views of the lake, and improved walking paths

This project was guided by community feedback through the 2023 Parks, Open Space & Recreation Strategy. For more information on the Norway Point Park revitalization project, please visit: engage.lakeofbays.on.ca/NorwayPoint.
