Notice of Exemption To Noise Control By-Law: Bigwin Island Golf Club

Under Noise Control By-law 2021-029, an application under Section 13 has been received by Township staff.  The applicant is looking for an exemption from Schedule B, Item 8 under Section 10, which would allow for the discharge of Fireworks between the hours of 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. at the following location:

• The property, Bigwin Island Golf Club, is located at 1137 Old Hwy 117, Baysville, ON, Township of Lake of Bays, District Municipality of Muskoka. 

The following date and time apply to the exemption:

• Discharge of Fireworks, on Saturday, June 27th, for a period of approximately 10 minutes sometime between the hours of 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. (when lighting conditions are ideal), provided that there is no fire ban in place. 

Comments on this exemption can be forwarded to By-law Services on or before May 28, 2026, at 4 p.m.
