Notice of Exemption To Noise Control By-Law, Comment Deadline July 10, 2026

Under Noise Control By-law 2021-029, applications under Section 13 have been received by Township staff. The applicants are seeking exemptions from Schedule B, Items 1 and 2 under Section 10. These exemptions would allow certain activities, including amplified sound, singing and yelling, and for select applicants, the discharge of fireworks, outside of permitted times.

    Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 1:00 a.m.

  • 1115 Old Highway 117, Baysville
    Wedding with amplified music and related noise
    Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 1:00 a.m.

  • 2451 South Portage Road, Dwight
    Wedding with amplified music and related noise
    Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to Sunday, August 23, 2026, at 1:00 a.m.

  • 2451 South Portage Road, Dwight
    Fireworks display
    Saturday, August 22, 2026, for approximately 6 to 8 minutes between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., when lighting conditions are suitable, provided there is no fire ban in place

Comments on these exemptions can be forwarded to By-law Services on or before July 10, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
