Public Feedback Leads to Two New Accessible Parking Spaces Near Dwight Beach

The Township of Lake of Bays is pleased to announce the addition of two new accessible parking spaces near Dwight Beach.  It was previously proposed for the addition of one parking space but thanks to the feedback we received from the public, the plan was adjusted to include two.

The new parking spaces are located on Dwight Beach Road, across from Dwight Beach and Gouldie Park, outside of the public washrooms. The Gouldie Park space is a designated ‘Type A’ space, allowing for larger accessible vehicle parking.

The Township wishes to thank residents that participated in public consultation concerning the need for more accessible parking in the Dwight Beach area. As a direct result of that feedback, the Township has added these accessible spaces in key locations, now available for use.

These improvements are part of the Township’s Multi-Year Accessibility Plan 2024-2029.
