Temporary Disruption to Weighed Garbage Services | Sinclair Transfer Station

Weighed garbage services will be unavailable at Sinclair Transfer Station, located at 1931 Limberlost Road, as of May 25 until work is complete.

During this period, weighed garbage will not be accepted at this location and must be directed to an alternate transfer station:

• Franklin Transfer Station, Dwight
  (1020 Oxtongue Rapids Park Road, Dwight)
• McLean Transfer Station, Baysville
  (3901 Brunel Road, Baysville)

Similar work is expected at these locations in the coming weeks. Updates will be shared by the District of Muskoka.

What remains available

The following items will continue to be accepted during the service disruption:

•    Free weekly residential limits of two garbage bags
•    Divertible materials, including recycling and organics

Work underway

The District is installing permanent safety barrier upgrades at waste facilities to reduce fall hazards and improve site operations. For more information, read about the Elevated Waste Ramp Project on the District of Muskoka website.
