Upcoming In-Person Information Session for the Community Improvement Plan

(LAKE OF BAYS, ON) The Township invites community members to an in-person information session for the next phase of creating the Community Improvement Plan (CIP). Recently, public feedback was gathered from the community to acquire valuable input and insights into the creation of the CIP. Over 200 community members participated, revealing several common themes, including the desire for more public washrooms, increased business opportunities, environmental protection, road enhancements, sidewalks and trails, additional parking, expanded programming, the creation of more housing, and a focus on arts and culture.

This valuable input has helped the team develop ideas for the communities of Dorset, Dwight, Baysville and Hillside. The next phase of public engagement in developing the CIP involves sharing these ideas with the public at an in-person information session on September 18, 2023. The sessions will begin with a presentation that provides an overview of financial incentives and improvement programs for businesses, ideas for enhancing parks, streets and community facilities, and a parking strategy. The sessions will take place at the following times and locations:

• September 18, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Community Centre in Dwight.
• September 18, 2023, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Community Centre in Baysville.
