The District of Muskoka is hosting a casual, drop-in style coffee chat where you can learn more and ask questions at your own pace about the upcoming Muskoka Road 117 Main Streets project in Baysville.

At its Tuesday, October 14, 2025 meeting, Lake of Bays Township Council approved a by-law to implement a Municipal Accommodation Tax (MAT), effective January 1, 2026.

Following feedback from public consultation and recommendations from an advisory group which included local accommodation providers, a new draft Municipal Accommodation Tax (MAT) By-law has been released for public review and input.

The Muskoka Community Foundation has opened applications for a fund established with the Township of Lake of Bays to support registered charitable organizations that benefit residents across the municipality. The Fund is administered by the Foundation and will prioritize new or existing initiatives that focus on youth, seniors, the environment, and promoting access and inclusion in sports and recreation.
