The Township of Lake of Bays is excited to share that upgrades at Norway Point Park are now finished! While the work wrapped up this fall, the refreshed park will be ready for everyone to enjoy when the warm weather returns in 2026.

(Lake of Bays, ON) - As winter weather returns, the Township of Lake of Bays reminds residents, visitors, and contractors that parking vehicles in a manner that interferes with winter operations, including snow plowing, sanding, and road maintenance, is prohibited.

On November 1, 2025, at approximately 12:20 a.m., the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department responded to a report of a chimney fire on Penfold Lake Road in Huntsville.

(Lake of Bays, ON) - In a recent case, the Township of Lake of Bays secured fines against a homeowner and a contractor who began construction without the required permits. The homeowner pleaded guilty to violating both the Ontario Building Code Act and the Planning Act, resulting in a $10,000 fine. The contractor pleaded guilty to one Planning Act offence and received a $4,000 fine.
