On December 16, Angelo Raso visited Station 3 Hillside to present a $1,200 cheque to the Fire Department. The donation was made in memory of his son, Johnny, who tragically passed away in 2018 from a fentanyl overdose.

(Lake of Bays, ON) - Following a recruitment process that brought strong interest from across the fire service sector, the Township of Lake of Bays has appointed Jeremy Alldred-Hughes as Director of Emergency Services and Fire Chief.

The Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department is gearing up for the 37th annual Project Porchlight Food Drive in support of the Salvation Army.

On November 1, 2025, at approximately 12:20 a.m., the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department responded to a report of a chimney fire on Penfold Lake Road in Huntsville.

The Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department is seeking passionate and engaged members of the community to join the service as volunteer firefighters.

On October 14th, the department was requested by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) to assist with a wildland fire on Stephenson Road 2. The fire covered approximately 2 acres. Firefighters worked alongside MNRF crews on the first day and then continued suppression and overhaul efforts on their own for the following two days. The fire was fully extinguished, and no structures were threatened.

On October 7, 2025, at approximately 4:20 a.m., the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire on Delbrooke Road in Lake of Bays.

On October 9, 2025, at approximately 12:06 a.m., the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department responded to Muskoka Landing Long Term Care for an activated fire alarm.

On October 1, 2025, at approximately 10:00 a.m., the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire on West Street South in Huntsville.
