Tax Bill Due Dates

You will receive your tax bills by mail. The billing cycles are as follows:

  • January tax bill with due dates in February and April
  • June tax bill with due dates in July and September

More billings may happen throughout the year based on supplemental and/or omitted assessment values provided by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC).

Haven't Received Your Tax Bill?

If you did not receive a copy of your bill, please contact the Tax Department at (705) 635-2272. Failure to receive a tax bill does not exempt the bill from being due or exempt the taxpayer from incurring late payment charges.

Payment Options

Pay by phone through your financial institution or online via your bank’s official website. Your property roll number is the account number to use for payments (i.e. Lake of Bays Township Taxes 44-27-000-000-00000-0000)
If you have more than one property in the Township, you will need to set up each roll number as a separate account number.

Monthly or installment due date plans are available. Complete the pre-authorised payment plan form to register.

How to Enroll:
- Ensure that your property taxes are paid up to date. If they are not, please call the Tax Department for the current amount outstanding.
- Complete and sign the Pre-Authorised Payment Plan Form linked above and attach an unsigned blank cheque marked 'VOID' or pre-authorised debit form from your bank.
- The Tax Department must receive authorised forms no later than October 15 of the current year for full enrollment. Partial year enrollment is calculated on the remaining months in the plan.
- If your taxes are not paid with your mortgage, you are eligible to enroll.
- Business Taxes are also eligible for either plan.

Monthly Plan Details:
- Your total taxes from last year, plus an estimated 5% increase, are divided into 11 equal monthly payments.
- Payments are automatically withdrawn from your bank account on the last day of each month, from November to September. On September 30, any remaining balance will be withdrawn, as noted on a letter you will receive in advance of this date.
- You will be notified of your new monthly amount each year. The plan will continue automatically unless you request to cancel in writing.
- You won’t receive an Interim Tax Bill while on this plan. Your Final Tax Bill, showing full payment, will be sent before December 31.

Installment Plan Details:
- With the Installment Plan, you will receive your tax bills in January and June, notifying you the amount to be withdrawn on the due dates. No further action is required.
