(Lake of Bays, ON) - The nomination period for the 2026 Municipal Election opens Friday, May 1, 2026, and residents interested in running for municipal office are encouraged to prepare now.
The proposed by-laws will come before the Township of Lake of Bays Council for consideration at its regular meeting to be held in a hybrid setting (in-person and electronically), on the 12th day of May, 2026, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. o’clock, in the morning.
The Ministry of Natural Resources has extended the Flood Warning for the area until April 29, and the Township continues to actively monitor conditions and respond where needed.
