(Lake of Bays, ON) - The Township of Lake of Bays has officially broken ground on the Dwight Library Expansion and Community Centre Upgrades project, a major milestone for a long-anticipated, community-led initiative. Once complete, the newly expanded facility will serve as a modern, accessible hub for residents and visitors alike.

The proposed by-laws will come before the Township of Lake of Bays Council for consideration at its regular meeting to be held in a hybrid setting (in-person and electronically), on the 14th day of October, 2025, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. o’clock, in the morning.

Following feedback from public consultation and recommendations from an advisory group which included local accommodation providers, a new draft Municipal Accommodation Tax (MAT) By-law has been released for public review and input.
